時間副詞

a.)in – 用於表示「年代、四季、月份、早上、下午、傍晚」
例：
1. in 1998
2. in spring
3. in August
3. in the morning / afternoon / evening

b.) on – 用於表示「幾月幾日、星期幾、或星期幾的早上（下午、傍晚）、特定的日子、節日」
1. on August 2nd
2. on Sunday
3. on Sunday morning
3. on the Moon Festival
4. on one's birthday
5. on the morning of December 1st

c.)at –用於表示「幾點、幾點幾分、中午12點、晚上」
1. at 12:30
2. at noon / night / midnight
3. at Christmas (指Christmas那段假期，如果指當天則寫成 on Christmas Day）

地方副詞
in 後面＋較大的地方 例：國家、城市、洲
at 後面＋地方的地點或較小的地方 例：家、村、鄉鎮
例：
He is staying at his sister's home in Boston.
There came a knock at the door.
He is educated at Edinburgh University(愛丁堡大學).

PS:
1. 若用以表示「位置」時，at 通常指特定的位置，而 in 指在房子、建築物或城市內等，不論地方大小，凡事要表示『在內』皆用 in。
例：
I'll meet you at the library.
I'll meet you at the information in the lobby of the hotel.

2. 同時提到兩個地方時，小地方用at ； 大地方用 in
We spent our holiday at Cheng Ching Lake in Kaohsiung.

on 在..上面 表示與表面接觸在上 或與線接觸
例：
A picture is hanging on the wall.

PS: 表示地址時， on ＋ 街路 ； at ＋號碼 ＋街路
He lives on Green Street.
He lives at 1236 Green Street.
